Everyone in Minnesota (well, mostly everyone) knows that the Brainerd Lakes Area, particularly Gull Lake, is the place to be in the summertime.
But what about in the winter?
It may not be the sandy beaches of south Florida, or the fresh pow in the Colorado Rockies, but Gull Lake in the winter is majestic.
Are you into snowmobiling? We have MILES of trails in this area. Check out this map from the State of Minnesota. You can snowmobile from Eagleview Cabin all the way up to Leech Lake if your heart so desires.
How about ice fishing? Gull Lake hosts the world's largest ice fishing tournament each winter and offers great walleye, crappie, and sunnie fishing all winter long. Here's a good article on ice fishing tips around the area.
What about skiing, both cross-country and downhill? You can downhill ski at Mount Ski Gull and cross country ski just down the street in the Pillsbury State Forest.
Or maybe you just need a nice relaxing stay, perched high on a hill overlooking a lake, with a fireplace and hot tub. If that's what you need, book a visit with us this winter, and enjoy all that the Brainerd Lakes Area has to offer.
